Your Test Journey

Check-In

Test takers arrive 30 minutes before their test time. Late arrivals will not be admitted. Your personal valuables will be collected and placed in a numbered storage bin. You cannot take your phone, watch, or any electronic equipment into the test room. Your pockets are empty. You are only allowed to have a pen, pencil, eraser and water in a transparent bottle with in the the test room.

ID Checks

IELTS staff will check your identity upon your arrival at the test venue. You must bring the same identification document (ID) that was approved when you registered. IELTS staff will also take photographs and finger scans of each test taker. Please note that this is a requirement, and the photo taken on the test day will be used on your Test Report Form.

Waiting Room

You will wait in the waiting room until further instructions are announced. Please use the washrooms before you enter the test room.

Computer Delivered (CD) IELTS Test Begins

You will be escorted to your seat. You will complete the Listening, Reading and Writing sections of the test. This will take about approximately 2hours and 30minutes. If you have not taken your face-to-face speaking test, this will follow after the CD test.

CD Test Ends

Please check your desk label for your updated speaking test time (if not already done).

Please collect your valuables and arrive no later than 20 minutes before your speaking test time.

Speaking Test

Your ID document will be checked. Your personal belongings will be left in the storage bin. Your speaking test my take up to 12-14 minutes.

Results

Your results will be released after 5-7 days after your test. When your results are released, you will be able to preview your scores online. On the day your results are released, your Test Report Form will be mailed out by Canada Post regular mail to the mailing address you provided to us. Please note, it may take up to 2 weeks or more for your results to be delivered. If you would like to order a courier, please contact our office or speak to a IELTS Staff member on the test day.
